Weschler's
Weschler's has been an auction tradition in the nation's capital since Adam Weschler opened a gallery just a few blocks from the White House in 1890.

The fourth generation of Weschler family members continues to uphold the principles on which Adam Weschler founded his company — that the client's interests should remain above all others. To ensure this, Adam Weschler resolved that the company would neither buy nor own any of the items it sold at auction. We maintain this same policy today and act solely as a representative for the buyer or seller.

As downtown Washington's only auction house, Weschler's has been in the unique position to auction over the years such treasures as a first edition of Thomas Paine's 1776 Common Sense, furniture from the office of former House Speaker Sam Rayburn, and memorabilia from General Douglas MacArthur.

Today Weschler's holds specialized sales from September to May in the following categories: European & American Furniture and Decorations; Jewelry, Coins and Watches; American and European Paintings, Drawings, Sculpture and Prints; Asian Works of Art and 20th-Century Decorative Works of Art.

Go Antiques
Founded in 1999, GoAntiques is now the antiques shopping destination of choice for millions of collectors and the online storefront for hundreds of dealers and gallery members around the globe. With offices in three states and two countries, we continue to grow our core business while focusing on customer satisfaction.

Our staff of dedicated individuals is the lifeblood of our business. Their number one priority is to ensure that while visiting the GoAntiques site you have a pleasant shopping experience. We understand that half the fun of shopping for antiques is walking through a small town and discovering a treasure, however we try to compensate for the loss of that experience by providing you with the opportunity to access inventory that you may not otherwise see. The very proprietary nature of antiques is what makes GoAntiques a perfect web-based business. It would be impossible to imagine a single antiques store with the selection of products we offer, just as it is impossible to imagine a single antiques store with a customer base such as ours. By combining the inventories of our dealer members and using proprietary technology, we are able to bring together an otherwise impossible business.
